Dear CSSA Members
As we progress through 2023, it is always important to reflect on the year of what we have achieved and keep up the maintain the energy and moment for what is ahead.
Following a review of the Associations activities, carried out under the auspices of our new Chair, Paul Ashton, we have decided to move away from a formal committee structure to an organic arrangement of community groups that reflect more the interests and concerns of the membership. It is hoped that this will encourage a greater participation from those younger elements within member companies who will be leading the industry in the future.
PROVIDING DEMONSTRATIONS AND EDUCATION
In March we offered a “The Future of Cleaning” Innovation Showcase in collaboration with the CHSA at the fantastic London Cleaning show. With thought provoking and industry leading daily panel discussions in the conference area, the debating sessions featured much participation from members “rising stars” in the CSSA members’ lounge.
The London Cleaning Show brings together industry cleaning experts that address the need for cleaning and hygiene on a national basis. Our role at this event is to provide demonstrations and education.
The showcase is a juried opportunity, which highlights the hygiene industry’s innovations for products, services, techniques, and more. Topics span from political, social, and environmental challenges, including emerging regulations and requirements. In addition, the showcase helps to highlight options that may make positive advancements in cleaning and hygiene practices, products, and opportunities.
OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainable living practices, not only help reduce pollution, but also conserve natural resources. Sustainability improves the quality of our lives, protects our ecosystem and preserves natural resources for future generations. In the corporate world, sustainability is associated with an organisation's holistic approach, taking into account everything from manufacturing to logistics, customer service and our duty as guardians to the planet. To align with this goal co-sponsoring the Meta Tissues Sustainability awards. With the glaring focus on Sustainability, it is incumbent on all of us within the Cleaning and Hygiene industry not just to “do our bit”, but also to recognise those who are leading the way in best practice, and/or going “above and beyond” to promote and embrace sustainability.
