New CSSA Chairman, Paul Ashton

Last Thursday 29th September 2022 following the closure of the Annual General Meeting, the Directors convened an Election of Officers meeting.

At that meeting Doug Cooke, having completed two terms of office as our Chairman, decided to stand down. In addressing the CSSA Directorate Doug proposed that the current Deputy Chairman, Paul Ashton, be appointed Chairman which was unanimously supported by the Directors.

Paul has asked me to circulate his welcome and introduction message to all CSSA Members which I am pleased to append below.

Dear Member,

I am writing to introduce myself as the newly appointed CSSA Chairman. Since becoming involved with the association back in 2017, it has been fantastic to see our membership continue to grow year on year. I am honoured to taking over from our esteemed colleague, Doug Cooke who has been the driving force of our association since our rebirth and feel privileged to be entrusted with the responsibility of picking up the reigns.

As an owner operator of a commercial cleaning company, I understand first-hand the challenges being faced across our industry. I am keen to work with you and our fellow members to ensure our association is providing relevant support to help tackle whatever we have thrown at us. There’s no doubt that we will be stronger together.

One of my first priorities is to work with my fellow board members and ensure that we are all aligned in our vision and objectives. Ensuring our members recognise value in your fee is of upmost importance and we have a range of ideas about how we do so.

To support with driving the strategy of the association, I am keen to get to know our membership better to understand your individual views on how we can best help you grow, comply, change, and innovate.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss in more detail so please let me know if you have availability to meet.

Best regards,

Paul
