A successful CSSA Luncheon at the Savoy

A record breaking attendance at our 2019 Annual Cleaning Industry Luncheon!

We returned to The Savoy on Friday 14th June with a record breaking full house luncheon in the Lancaster Room. The event got off to a wonderful start with our drinks reception in the River Room with attendees renewing old and making new friendships. Grateful thanks to our very own Barry Dorn who did a magnificent job as our Master of Ceremonies  successfully shepherded us down to luncheon in the Lancaster Room.

Enjoying a delicious lunch we surprised when a waiter starter singing an operatic aria and then was joined by two other Singing Waiters. What a magnificent entertainment which was a surprise to the 330 attendees. That was not the end of the luncheon entertainment!

As we were enjoying our coffee and Petit Fours Doug Cooke, Chairman introduced Martin Bayfield who wooed the audience. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and are still recalling Martin’s hilarious tales.

A huge THANK YOU to the CSSA Members and their guests who raised over £3000 which is one of our ‘highest ever’ total. This is a fantastic achievement and will make a significant impact to Richard House, London’s 1st Children’s Hospice the Chairman’s chosen charity.

Finally a big thank you to Bunzl Cleaning & Hygiene Supplies our sole sponsor of the event and to Darwin Clayton (UK) our prize patron whose gift donation was central to raising the charity donations.

Each year gets better than the previous, and this year was the best so far. The entertainment and speaker were excellent, and the food and surroundings were first class. Thanks again, and looking forward to next year already!

Congratulations on another fantastic CSSA lunch today. And thank you for your hospitality – it was wonderful to catch up with so many friends and enjoy the entertainment. Thank you also for allowing me to distribute our awards leaflet.
