Members of the CSSA Women’s Group and their guests enjoyed a day at Pontefract Racecourse Ladies Day on 4th August as part of the associations networking activities.
The day, organised by CSSA Women’s Group Chairman, Lynn Webster, was well attended with additional tickets requested by guests so even more seats were filled.
The group enjoyed a full day of fun and were able to watch the races from a private balcony (which was fortunate as the weather soon took a poor turn and the rain came down hard and fast) as part of the Dine & View package which offers smaller corporate groups the opportunity to dine in style in the Dalby Stand Private boxes.
As part of the package CSSA guests enjoyed a delicious three-course meal followed by traditional afternoon tea, complete with scones, cream and jam.
Lynn said “a major benefit of being a member of the Cleaning and Support Services Association is networking events such as this. Not only did our guests enjoy a fantastic day out, they were also able to conduct informal business meetings and make valuable new contacts in a fun and relaxed environment.”
In attendance at the event was Joanne Robinson, Managing Director of Solution One Services Ltd, Charlotte Killis, Sales and Events Manager at Killis Ltd and Daniel Cross, UK Marketing Manager at Tennant Company and also Chair of the CSSA Marketing Executive.
Lynn continues “the Focus of the Women’s Group is to further the recognition of Women, in all capacities in the UK Cleaning and Support Services Industry. Through training, support, mentorship and networking, the CSSA’s Women’s Group aims to support them to become the best that they can be by increasing their confidence, abilities and skills. We will be hosting more networking events for all CSSA members (not exclusively to women) and their guests in the future but it makes a real difference to host an event with a twist such as a day at the races. The Ladies Day event was an absolute success and we are looking at offering even more tickets for the 2022 race day.”
