CSSA Women’s Group hosts Inaugural networking event in support of charity

The CSSA women’s Group had the pleasure to host their inaugural event at Brigit’s Bakery for Afternoon Tea on the 9th July 2019.   The event which announced its chosen charity Safer Places and was supported by 14 companies.  The likes of Vectair, Jangro, The Cleaning Show, Birkin Cleaning, Safety Solutions, Bunzl, and LWC to name a few, along with a number of senior members from contract cleaning companies, discussed challenges in the Cleaning Industry and networked with likeminded people in support of the group.  As a reminder, the Women’s Group was put together two years ago by the CSSA, the Cleaning and Support Services Association who recognised the lack of woman at seniority levels within the Cleaning & Support Services Sector.

Its deserving chosen charity, Safer Places, is an independent charity which provides a comprehensive range of services to adults and children affected by all forms of Domestic Abuse.  Cecelia Hubert, from Jangro, and the Deputy Chairwoman of the CSSA Women’s Group said “Safer Places is the perfect fit for the Group; we, the CSSA women’s Group offer people within the industry the confidence to achieve more.  Safer Places provides support to people who suffer from domestic abuse” Cecelia added of the event “we are delighted with the number of people that came together too; this is the first of many events and look forward to more people joining, and to help people within the industry to higher positions”.

The next event will be held on the 3rd October 2019, if you would like to join or sponsor please contact vanessavss@quartzltd.com or C.Hubert@jangrohq.net .  For further information to join the CSSA or get involved, please contact John Findlater by email on john@cssa-uk.co.uk
